Amazon's annual Prime Day extravaganza was a wild ride this year! The event was jam-packed with invitation-only deals that had people on the edge of their seats, eagerly waiting for their exclusive passes to Prime Day paradise.


Amazon's annual Prime Day sale this year included invitation-only deals and greater personalization, in best efforts to keep up with emerging competitors, like Target and Walmart nipping at their heels.


Amazon knew exactly how to tap into the younger generation's passion for supporting local entrepreneurs. Small business" badges and special search filters were given a boost to appeal to the younger generation's desire to support small businesses and this strategized attention certainly paid off with the first day of Prime Day breaking records as the largest sales day in Amazon’s history.

“The first day of Prime Day was the largest sales day in Amazon’s history, and Prime members saved more this year than any other Prime Day event,” said Doug Herrington, CEO of Amazon Stores, in a statement."

From studying consumer behaviors to personally tailoring the experience, Amazon knew exactly how to win hearts and wallets.
